I write about the places and the steps along the journey where I find passion. As an avid outdoorsman, this writing often revolves around the things that I love in the outdoors – bicycling, hunting, and fishing. Politics excites me too, and I love to explore real and honest issues that are affecting our lives today.
Beneath it all is my sense of spiritual “Place”, and my desire to be infected by the wonder of every moment of this wonderful spiritual journey that I’m on.
What I Write, and Why I Write It
I used to think I wrote just for the joy I get from writing. Because writing does give me great joy.
But I’ve learned, as time has gone by, that writing is one of those “circle” things – like giving and receiving. The joy I get from writing only becomes complete when someone else is moved in some way by what I’ve written.
When that happens, the circle is complete, and there are few joys in the world as great as this for me.
That’s why I write.
To find out more about what I write, explore my site a little more. In all cases, I write about the things that excite passion in me. Even if you’re not a hunter, you might find things in my hunting stories that you can relate to. Even if you’re not a cyclist, I’ll bet there are things in my cycling posts that you’ll relate to.
If what I write moves you in any way – if it brings you joy or pisses you off – please comment on my posts, and rate the ones you like and don’t like. Your feedback and feelings on what I write means a great deal to me.
And if you like what I write a lot, then buy my book and see what you think. I hope to have a second book out late in 2011 or early in 2012.
